The Camp Fire

Paintings Poem

Outside the gunyah, the campfire burned till late
Waiting for the tucka to come in
Then not far off, voices in the dark
And the dogs barked at the smell of fresh tucka
Being dragged closer to the camp fire

It was always asure thing with tucka
The land was full of it. And the land was also full of skilled hunters
Some of the best times was around the campfire, where tucka was shared and stories were told
